Robert has over twenty five years of experience in taxation, public practice and business consulting. As the director of Midland Financial Group Robert’s primary roles are managing client relationships, dealing with more complex taxation, financing, investments, superannuation and business related issues. An important aspect of a director’s role in a public practice/financial services firm is meeting with, talking to and interviewing clients in order to ensure our organisation has a clear understanding of the taxation, superannuation, accounting and financial service related issues that are of value and importance to you.  

Robert likes to cycle and loves to travel when work permits.

Kathy Van Eykelenberg

Practice Manager 

Kathy is a recently appointed practice manager of Trafalgar Financial (Midvale). She has extensive experience in accounting practice management and specialises in accounting and tax for Self-Managed Superannuation Funds. 

Kathy loves horses and enjoys running her own business. 

Simon Nielsen

 Taxation Consultant/Manager

With twelve years experience in public practice and taxation Simon’s primary role within our firm is to provide taxation support and advice on the more complex taxation issues. Simon is the firm’s taxation manager and supervises our graduate and intermediate accountants. Simon has a particular focus on Fringe Benefits Tax law, taxation of trusts and Capital Gains Tax.

Simon enjoys cycling, being outdoors and surfing.  

Rebecca Taylor 

Receptionist/ Administrator 

Rebecca’s primary role is the provision of reception and related administration functions. She delivers secretarial and related support services to all professional staff. Rebecca also handles client workflow and is generally the person to contact if you require information/documentation during the year to be provided to banks or other regulatory authorities.

Rebecca enjoys playing squash and netball and spending time with her children. 

Arif Khandwalla

Intermediate Taxation Accountant

Arif’s primary role is the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns. He works with clients using QuickBooks and MYOB accounting functions providing advice in the processing areas with the view to then take the accounts to final financial statement and taxation return completion. Arif is about to commence his CPA mentor program and is working towards formally qualify as a CPA over the next 24 months.    

Arif loves to play soccer and enjoys personal fitness.

Aleksandra Kuzet

Intermediate Taxation Accountant

Alex’s primary role is the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns. She works with clients using QuickBooks and MYOB accounting functions providing advice in the processing areas with the view to then take the accounts to final financial statement and taxation return completion. Alex is currently studying her CPA program.

Aleksandra is a big fan of Ultimate Fighting Champions and enjoys spending time with family.

Melissa Tatur

Accounting Graduate    

Melissa has recently joined our firm as a graduate taxation accountant. Having recently acquired her Bachelor of Commerce degree from Curtin University she is providing support to our senior accounting staff. 

Melissa loves to watch and play tennis and is also a fan of NBA.

Richard Kwok

Tax Accountant  

Richard has an extensive experience is public practice and specialises in taxation for individuals , partnerships and trusts. He truly enjoys tax and wished to maximise his development in that area. 

Richard enjoys traveling to different destinations and enjoys cooking and reading.

Jasmin Leeks

Receptionist

Jasmine is a junior receptionist at Trafalgar Financial (Midvale). She is aiming to learn all about office administration and help her practice perform its processes effectively. 

She loves to travel and particularly enjoys baby-sitting her nephew.
